Vandana is the Founder and Managing Director of Davenport Solicitors, specialising in employment law and business immigration.

With over 15 years’ experience, she advises employers, from growing businesses to established organisations on managing workforce issues and navigating complex legal requirements. Her expertise spans employment contracts and policies, workplace disputes, day-to-day HR matters, sponsor licence applications and compliance, and the full range of business visa and worker routes.

She leads the firm’s employment and immigration practice, overseeing client strategy and ensuring the delivery of clear, commercially focused advice.

Davenport Solicitors was founded to address a common challenge faced by many businesses: accessing clear, practical legal advice when it is needed most. Her approach is to provide responsive and cost-effective support, helping clients manage risk and make confident decisions as they grow.

She works closely with clients across a wide range of sectors, including technology, retail, hospitality, energy, professional services, healthcare, financial services, and film and media. Vandana is known for building long-term relationships with her clients, often acting as an extension of their internal team through ongoing HR and legal support.

As a business owner herself, she understands the pressures of running a business alongside managing people issues. Her advice is grounded in commercial reality, combining legal expertise with a pragmatic, solutions-focused approach.

Vandana regularly speaks at events and delivers training on employment and immigration law. She has also lectured at South Bank University and the Open University.

She is a member of the Immigration Law Practitioners’ Association (ILPA), the Employment Lawyers Association (ELA), and the European Employment Lawyers Association (EELA). She also sits on the committee of the Asian Business Association, is a trustee of the Institute of Hospitality, and contributes to the Better Hiring Institute.

Vandana is fluent in Hindi and Punjabi.

As Head of Strategy & International Business, Barry Dass plays a senior leadership role in shaping Davenport Solicitors’ growth and global outlook. He advises the firm on long-term business strategy, ensuring alignment with market trends, client needs, and the evolving legal landscape.

In this role, Barry:

• Leads on strategic planning and positioning to strengthen Davenport’s competitive edge.
• Acts as the firm’s senior ambassador, representing Davenport with clients, partners, and professional networks in the UK and abroad.
• Develops and manages international business relationships, building strong connections with overseas companies, trade bodies, and government stakeholders.
• Supports the creation of ecosystem partnerships that help clients expand and thrive in the UK market.
• Works closely with the leadership team to explore new markets, alliances, and opportunities for sustainable growth.

This role reflects Barry’s commitment to combining strategy, client engagement, and global partnerships, helping Davenport Solicitors position itself as a trusted partner for international businesses entering and expanding in the UK.

Ghisina acquired a law degree at Westminster University in 2021 and is has completed her LPC. She aspires to be a solicitor.

Having studied employment law throughout her legal studies and undertaking legal work experience she is well equipped to support our lawyers and clients in both immigration and employment law.

Ghisina is excited to be part of the team at Davenport Solicitors and is looking forward to developing her expertise further in these areas of the law.

Ghisina is fluent in French.

Kaili is a solicitor at the firm, advising on UK immigration law and other UK in-bound immigration related matters for personal and private clients. Kaili has experience in personal immigration and business immigration. She qualified as a solicitor in 2020 and since then has specialised in UK immigration law. She assists with advising both individual clients and organisations on a range of UK immigration matters.

She has significant experience in family and private life matters such as: nationality and British citizenship applications under a variety of routes; family visas and visitor visas.

Kaili’s work in business immigration includes applications under the skilled Worker, PBS Dependant routes and innovator visas. She is also experienced with assisting on Sponsor Licence applications and renewals and providing advice on Right to Work checks, sponsor compliance and general business immigration guidance.
